I loved how Rebecca's harsh black and white views about money and those with it melts into grays, clears, and some outright disappear. I was so incredibly sucked into this book that I finished this book in a day (even though I very much had other things to do and wasn't planning to read all day! I would describe it as a slice-of-life book between a husband, wife, and their newborn and their interactions with the billionaires of Palm Beach. After dealing with a few murder cases in New York, Charlie moves south and joins the Palm Beach Police Department.At the very first dinner party, his attention to detail lands him an offer that he can't refuse, with the uber-wealthy Cecil Stone and his wife, Astrid. Turner has mentioned the lead characters in the book as Darryl Bill, Nick Greenleaf, Dominica, Charlie Crawford, Misty, and Ott. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby in the scarce original dust jacket, and an exceptional complete signed first edition set of J.
