The Seven Brothers Beerhouse Ancoats is situated in the heart of Cutting Room Square, the place where independents are thriving right now. The Beerhouse offers a lovely relaxed atmosphere, suitable for everyone, whether it be a family trip out, a stop off for lunch or an after-work beer.

The launch “broadens our audience reach and provides a new channel of drinkers for our beers,” McAvoy added. “The deal solidifies our position as one of the fastest-growing craft breweries in the UK.” A handful of businesses have set up shop around the edge of the square in recent years, with Seven Brothers taking over one of the largest units. Plans for the bar’s arrival were announced in 2019, but delays, which the developers said stemmed from the pandemic, meant the family established business was only able to open its doors a few weeks ago.Asked if it will be a tough act to follow Cream, Nation and The Kazimier which used to be the main draws of the area, Mr McAvoy said there is “a little bit of pressure and also excitement.”

Over the past two years, Seven Bro7hers has received business advice from its investor and board advisor, Keith Webb. He has advised on all matter of things, from starting monthly board meetings to company and employee infrastructure. Kate is the finance director for the brand, as well as a mum-of-five. She laughs: “People say how do you cope with 5 children? Well it’s not daunting at all because we know what it’s like to have double that!”Our portfolio of bars is our number one priority and we have a pipeline of opening new bars in place. Our next two bars are still set to open at the end of the year – fingers crossed!”
