Description

Just like its big sibling, the Clek Oobr, the Clek Olliis a well-engineered piece of gear with more safety and comfort features than you might expect for such a simple-looking booster seat. It has rigid LATCH to keep the seat stable when your kid is getting in and to prevent it from flying around in an accident. Despite all the advanced features, the Olli weighs just 5lbs and is be easy to fly with thanks to the included shoulder strap (optional on the less expensive Clek Ozzi). Like other Clek car seats, this one is a-ok to use in Canada!

Prices vary considerably and it’s worth looking into exactly what higher-priced seats are offering before spending any money as the most expensive seats aren’t necessarily the best. While the Maxi-Cosi Kore Pro i-Size is competitively priced, it doesn’t compromise on safety. Like all the Maxi-Cosi car seats currently on the market, this model has been rigorously tested for safety according to the R129 regulations, which means it’s had forward, rear, side and rollover testing to ensure it’ll protect your child in all types of impact. It also has superior side protection features built into the car seat. Key specs – Group: Children 4-12 years or 150cm in height; Item weight: 7.5kg; Attachment method: Isofix; Additional features: Adjustable headrest More than 10 years of usability – This 2 in 1 seat protects your child with an impact shield until they are 21kgs and then by removing the impact shield and using the vehicle seatbelt until they reach 150cm.

Best Group 2 3 Car Seat Overview

Custom Harness Hideaway compartments store the 5-point harness when you no longer need them for Group 2/3 booster use Transparency is really important to us and that's why we're always upfront about how we tested the products we recommend. We won't always recommend the cheapest products or the ones with the most extra features. We write about products that we feel offer the best value to most parents – the ones we'd recommend to our own friends and family. Your child will start off using an infant car seat, which has been designed specifically for the needs of babies. You will then move onto a convertible car seat between 12 and 18 months, depending on how long the infant car seat lasts. The baby or child's height is used to determine if the seat fits the child, rather than their weight.

The R129 standard, known as i-Size, is the most recent and was introduced to make travel for babies and children safer than the ECE R44 standard. R129 and R44 run side by side, so parents can choose whether to buy and use child car seats that meets either standards.

What is a high back booster seat?

If a booster cushion was approved before this amendment, the approval relates to Group 2/3 (15 to 36kg) seats. As such, if the label on the booster cushion has a stated weight of 15kg to 36kg, it's still legal to use.

The Maxi-Cosi Kore i-Size car seat is not only sturdy and comfortable, but it also comes with a smart safety feature called SPS Plus (Side Protection System Plus), which is like an extra layer of protection for your little one.Lie-flat seats - Research shows that it’s healthiest for newborn babies to lie flat for the majority of the time when they’re sleeping or lying still for periods. The CYBEX Cloud Z i-Size features an ergonomic lie-flat position outside of the car. Your child has been riding in a car seat since birth. But just when you've figured out the infant car seats from the convertible car seats, you learn that there are multiple options for forward-facing booster car seats too. Actually many booster car seats have more than one mode. Safety is the most important thing, and all car seats must conform to R44 or R129 regulations. Bigger brands often conduct their own safety testing too. For more than 15 years, GH Institute Chief Technologist and Director of Engineering Rachel Rothman has put her training in mechanical engineering and applied mathematics to work by researching, testing and writing about parenting products. She leads our testing efforts in both the auto space and most juvenile products, including car seats, meaning each year she installs over 100 car seats in vehicles. As a mom to three kids age 6 and younger, she's personally used many of the products we recommend in real life.

Guard Surround Safety™ panels provide extra side protection and can be individually activated for extra room in vehicle

Of course, you will also want the booster seat to fit your style (color, patterns) preferences and meet your budget constraints. That's a lot to ask, and no booster car seats actually meet all of these criteria! Convertible car seats are generally more comfortable, as they have more built-in features to keep your child comfortable as they grow. They are intended to be used for longer and are therefore made to be more comfortable and practical as well. GROUP 2/3 CAR SEAT: an ECE R44/04 certified car seat that can be used for children from approx. 3.5 to 12 years (15 to 36 kg)
