Instead of being the whimsical family fare we have all come to love, Cinderella is making like Winnie the Pooh and getting the horror treatment. His lips quirked up in amusement, and a mischievous smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. Then, he gestured to the rags Cinderella still had on. Kenneth Branagh’s live-action remake of Walt Disney’s Cinderella left little room for censure. It was enchanting, magical and completely traditional.
