My personal favorite song, though, is "Lost", which nobody seems to talk about — probably because it seems to be the simplest one from a musical point of view. "Lost" runs on an almost wispy keyboard riff and resembles a typical verse-chorus-verse song more than most of the songs on the album, but it's thrown into relief by sketches of vocal samples and hidden keyboard spazzes and burbles. Lyrically, it cuts right to the heart of the youthful displacement in the 2010s, the feeling of being lost all over the world no matter how many opportunities are (theoretically) at your fingertips. It's music for feeling utterly futile and directionless even while you're travelling hundreds or thousands of miles per hour. 'Lost in the thrill of it all' indeed.

Ocean embarked on a 14-date North American tour in July 2012 supporting the album. [74] Announced on June 8, [98] the tour had sold out by July 9. [99] On its number of shows, Ocean explained that he wanted to provide quality over quantity and said that "it's not about let's do a million things right now. It's about let's just do our best to do the best things right now." [18] Malay joined him as the tour's musical director and said that it would expand on the production of Ocean's previous concerts for Nostalgia, Ultra. [5] Their stage setup featured a guitarist, bassist, drummer, two pianos, and a DJ setup behind television monitor props, [100] which showed ever-changing images.
