Also available is a matching Lavvu tarp, which as you can see from the photographs fits over the front canopy and extends the size of your vestibule area. It’s a great location for putting your camping chairs whether it’s as a sunshade, or sheltering from the rain. you could even put your cooking gear out here if the weather was really nice, outdoors barbecue stylee.

I’d easily recommend this for ease of use, lots of space and the tardis feel each time you go into it.It states a 5 berth, but basically it’s a tipi tent so it’s a shared area, for our use it’s only my wife and I to use so we had loads of space in the main bedroom with a big porch area and we had awning poles to lift the main door up as a canopy too.

The vestibule area also has its own roll up zipped front door, so you can completely close the Lavvu when required. So in all, this tent has three sections to it, those being the vestibule, the inner living area and then the divided bedroom and if you want to add the space underneath the tarp, there are 4 sections in which to have a very versatile and enjoyable camping experience. Did we not mention the tarp? ……….. The ground sheet in this tent is fitted, except for in the front vestibule area. This part has a separate groundsheet and gives you the option as to whether you want to fit it or not. It might be nice to have a bit of grass under your feet whilst sat under your tent, or at times when the weather doesn't allow or it’s not something you would like to have, just fit the supplied ground sheet, the option is yours. What we did find as we had a hot day we found out the huge bedroom very tall, very wide) got very cool in the evening and night time so take an extra blanket or too as we had got used to being cosy in our old dome tent. There are roof lights or windows in the bedroom section which have zip up blinds on them so if you don't want the sunlight coming in you can very easily close them. Also, above these windows we noticed a couple of ventilation panels that in the summer will help to keep the inside of the Lavvu cool and at other times, help to prevent condensation. Beyond this door and out into the front of the tent is the vestibule area. This also has Plenty of windows as well as the optional ground sheet. This area is more than large enough, we had a camping table and stove set up in there without any problems. We even had two adult bikes stored in the front area at one point.Finally took it out for its maiden voyage and wow, what a tent, it was very easy to pitch and take down, I watched a couple of YouTube videos on generic air tents going up and coining down so we was prepared before hand. The inside of this tent is really spacious, and with its roof heigh, it feels huge. Because of the air beam construction there’s no central pole holding it up, so the floor area inside is totally open with no obstructions at all, unlike traditional tipi tents.
