Tbh I had really low expectations for this book. Mile High and The Right Move had fun characters and some cute moments but I wasn’t super impressed with the overall writing quality. Also, I really went into this thinking who tf is Kai and why should I care about this man????? i’m not gonna give this book a five star despite all my rambling about how much i loved it, and the answer is pretty simple; I don’t think it deserves a five star i’m trying to be a little more critical, and not give five stars out like candy on halloween. i can’t give you an exact reason to why this wasn’t a five star for me, other than i don’t feel like it deserves a five star. it was very predictable, and the writing was very normal and not anything special. i’d say read this book if you liked the first two in the series, if not then don’t <3 After reading the first book in this series, I knew I wanted Ryan Shay’s book asap. And when I saw it was with Indy… I was even more excited. This one was perfection. I'm 100% sure this is going to be a contender for my top read of 2023. Seriously, I was blown away. liz’s spice is ALWAYS hot and you will be dying for these two to finally give in and when they do!!!! First up we have Kai Rhodes, the starting pitcher for the Chicago MLB team. The Clark Kent hype is REAL!!! I am obsessed. Now now, before everything I want to clarify Evan Zanders and Ryan Shay are still top tier not even joking but Kai Rhodes has just joined the list people. I mean the way he cares for Max is everything and the protectiveness is so yummy I legit gobbled it all up!! Obsessed, obsessed, obsessed!! And the Zanders and Ryan cameos were everything. And Isaiah and Kennedy OMFG I cannot WAIT for their book!! I’m the newest Captain of the Devils, Chicago’s NBA team, and the last thing I needed this year was for Indy Ivers, my sister’s best friend, to move into my apartment. She’s messy, emotional, and way too tempting. Where Ryan has been exploited in the worst way possible, so it’s understandable that he’s being protected. Both a bit broken. They collide, she invades her space, the one place she doesn’t need to be.

The way he showed her over and over again with small subtle gestures how he cares and loves her without admitting it. I want you, Indy. I want us. I want our little life we’ve built even when we thought we were pretending. I want you in our house because you’ve made it a home. I want your mess and your chaos. I want your genuine smiles, ”I’m a mile high girlie so seeing more of Stevie’s and Zanders story had me so emotional and giddy. I don’t wanna spoil anything but if you loved their book not reading this one would be missing out! I’m a romantic and can’t help fantasizing that he’ll change, but soon enough, I find myself questioning if sharing a roof with my best friend’s brother was the right move after all the plot: Ryan is Stevie's twin brother and Indy is her former coworker and best friend. Indy's longtime boyfriend cheats on her in Mile High, and she has nowhere to turn. in this book Stevie begs Ryan to let Indy move in with him since he lives alone. He doesn't agree at first but eventually does because he would do anything for his twin sister (my fav sibling duo <3)
