When Christmas morning rolled around, all was well, because I don't think she ever really expected it. As a result of her longevity and popularity, Screen Rant labelled Hello Kitty as the second-highest-grossing media franchise of all time in 2019, behind only Pokémon. Then about three years ago, we were flipping through a Christmas catalog and it there is was, larger than life, the Hello Kitty Two Slice Toaster.

In this review, we’re going to discuss the features and pros of the Hello Kitty 2-Slice Wide slot toaster which tells you why this toaster is an excellent choice for you. Some people say in the comments that they don’t get the kitty’s face on the bread but I found out that you get the face only when you set the toaster with the highest temperature. Ariete is a small home appliance brand from Italy and their collaboration with Sanrio brings us the adorable toaster, kettle and popcorn maker - all in a cute baby pink colour and featuring Hello Kitty! I remember Hello Dolly, Care Bears, My Little Pony, the only thing is they were popular when I was an aid at the elementary school and my kids were already in their 20's and 30's!But I do have a two slice toaster that we have been using for years, It is just a regular toaster for two pieces of bread, but only has one slot so the bread overhangs each other and part of the bread doesn't get toasted. Rather than through a deal with the devil, Hello Kitty was actually created by Japanese designer Yuko Shimizu in 1974. Sure, she'd always love Hello Kitty, but her interest was dwindling and the new merchandise didn't really excite her anymore. The one I had barely made it three years, so I was not going to splurge on a short term item like that again.

Well, almost, you see that head is created by a plate in the toaster that blocks the area from being heated. Yuko created the Hello Kitty character for the company Sanrio which has specialised in Japanese cute kawaii culture since the early 1960s. And it matched my kitchen perfectly, so when it was on the counter it looked like a decor accessory. A tale, which comes courtesy of Scary for Kids, suggests that the Hello Kitty character may not be as cute and innocent as she seems and it’s all to do with her mouth or lack thereof. It is amazing how things we loved come back around for our kids to love and now I see my grand girls getting into the same things. In fact, when I started teaching, and my kindergarten and first grade students were plastered with her big head, it barely even registered that it was the same figurine I'd spent my hard earned paper route money on years before. Plus, it didn't need to be washed after each use, like dishes or the blender, and I didn't need to be a world class chef to produce something edible.
