Although they do have an eau de parfum which claims to give “a more intense, longer-lasting aroma”, so I may try that out some time. Perhaps I got bored with it, perhaps my skin chemistry or sniffer has altered in some way that makes it less appealing to me. At the end of the day, I could only smell it if I brought my wrist right up to my nose, and even then it was only a bare hint. On the spur of the moment, I decided to get edt-so I think I do like it after all but its nothing ground breaking. I've only been wearing this fragrance for a couple weeks but receive a compliment on it almost every time I go out!

Not a surprise since BBW scents that are this weak and soft, tends not to last even if you layer them with oils or lotions. BBW seem to have redone their bottles for many fragrances and they all look sort of the same now-small glass cube.I haven't got the chance to ask my male friends but I think it's a mass pleaser unless you don't like sweet scents. You can pretty much wear it any time of the year, but since it’s part of a holiday collection, it’s a pretty festive scent. Yes, it does have a bit of sugar and freesia (which may be where folks are pulling similarities to other popular juvenile scents), but it's all blended so well between the starfruit, quince (which is rather bitter), and amber that it doesn't register as childish. The flowers just kind of get ignored all together and I start smelling a sugary almond dry down that is mushed up with a bit of the synthetic fruit. I use BBW hand washes in all my bathrooms, all the time, and I carry the hand sanitizers with me everywhere, so I am familiar with almost all BBW fragrances. Initially it is a sparkling, summery fruity floral(interesting because of the starfruit) with a touch of almond, then the almond disappears for a while and a quince/peony accord dominates, but A Thousand Wishes still remains soft. When I first sprayed this on a sample ribbon, it smelled pretty good, but then, as it dried down, I started feeling sick. The scent itself is one that I think is a good choice for a holiday party…it’s festive, but not too typical of a holiday scent (Think cranberries, spice…that sort of thing). I usually am not a fan of scents that are heavy on the patchouli but some scents that have it really smell wonderful. Lavishly splash or lightly spritz your favorite fragrance, either way you'll fall in love at first mist! However, A Thousand Wishes reminds me of Infusium 23 brand hair products I used in the late 90s and early 2000s so I like A Thousand Wishes though I detect that patchouli undercurrent. It's last quite well but it's is close to the skin and I love the scent you can pair with another perfume that have the same vibe. Its heart blossoms with crystal peony and purple freesia, followed by the warm base of amber, almond crème, sugared sandalwood and velvet musk. I tried it with some heavier perfumes and a few unisex ones where my skin fails to pull the sweeter notes or that can use some variety every now and then.

A Thousand Wishes, for me, has replaced Forever Red and my Fall excitement scent because it goes beyond the candelit coziness and leaves openings for adventures.We are in no way affiliated with these designer fragrance companies, our scents simply smell similar. I actually find most of the BBW scents that have gone into their regular rotation, including this, to be much stronger than any of the new releases. After reading here I hope I am not disappointed to find it discontinued when I go back for the full size.
