Slabs must be fully secure and unmoving prior to applying Joint-It Simple. Any movement in the slabs must be rectified before the jointing process. Follow-up with either our Supreme Colour Enhancer or Premium Sealer and you can be sure your patio or driveway is protected from the elements, and day-to-day spills, for 3-5 years. Work in so that it goes deep into the joints and is compacted. Joint-It Simple must be used on a permeable base. This is to allow water to drain through instead of logging on the top of your slabs. We recommend a 6:1 sand and cement base. Ensure the joints, all of the joints are cleaned out to a minimum depth of 20mm and a width of at least 3mm up to 25mm is recommended. Take care not to brush the product out of joints or into nearby drains. JOINT-IT will start to harden in joints within 90 minutes at over 20 C degrees. In lower temperatures JOINT-IT will take longer to harden. Once bag is opened, contents must be used within 4 hours.
