Description

The DP rosé cuvée was first produced by Moet in 1959 and, in 60 years, only 26 Dom Pérignon Rosé vintages have been declared. Then followed a summer marked by long, sunny periods interspersed with regular cloudy and rainy spells. This is a complex and elegant Champagne with a wonderful combination of velvety bubbles and flavours of pear, brioche, spice and fresh walnuts. Full-bodied and enveloping, round and creamy, sweet and voluptuous… this is an especially exquisite release of Dom Pérignon Rosé.

Based on Grand Cru villages plus one premier cru villages of Hautvillers, a wine of tension, power and long-ageing endurance and has been the vision of talented Chef de Cave, Vincent Chaperon, for over two and a half decades. v=1650101665","options":["Title"],"media":[{"alt":null,"id":20721055498291,"position":1,"preview_image":{"aspect_ratio":1. It’s easy to see why Dom Perignon Brut Rose is considered the ultimate Rose by Champagne aficionados. Although it takes over ten years to reach the light of day, the colour of Dom Pérignon Rosé dares to express all the tension between youth and maturity, between exhibition and restraint.Dom Pérignon Rosé springs from this desire to dare, seizing the red of the pinot noir grape in its primal radiance, capturing its vital power in a bold, assertive assemblage. After a markedly smooth and round initial mouthfeel, the wine nestles in the heart of the palate, settling with a sort of intimately intense caress. It's named after the Benedictine monk who was cellarmaster at the Abbey of Saint Pierre d'Hautvillers in the 17th century.

Full-bodied, vinous style, conveys good complexity, expressive with delicate nuances of cherries and grapefruit at the centre, creamy texture, delicate acidity, very good persistence. A delicate bead caresses the mouth, while flavors of currant pâte de fruit, dried apricot, pastry and pickled ginger expand on the palate. The wine is named after the legendary Benedictine monk, Father Pierre Pérignon, who in 1668 arrived at the Abbey of Hautvillers, north of Épernay and began experiments that would eventually lead to the creation and bottling of sparkling wine as we know it today. The 2008 Dom Pérignon Rosé continues to drink brilliantly, exhibiting aromas of orange, red berries, pear, pastry, spices and some smoke with time in the glass.

Perfect serve: The Dom Pérignon Rosé 2002 is the perfect champagne to accompany rich roast duck or lighter seafood dishes, such as smoked salmon or shrimp. Full-bodied, broad and rich, it’s dense and phenolic due to the approximately 15% still red wine sourced from grapes planted in the villages of Hautvilliers, Aÿ and Bouzy, culminating in a protracted, sapid and chalky finish. Dom Pérignon produces only vintage Champagnes, both blanc and rosé, and offer a number of late release bottlings under their Oenothèque and Plénitude labels.

For a young monk just 30 years old, it took a visionary spirit and exceptional audacity to pursue such lofty ambitions. Fos Baranda, their signiture wine using the best grapes and with aging beyond that of their old Reserva. The finish shows wonderful floral and mineral notes that achieve to give a refreshing and very forward character to the wine. After fleeting aromas of rose, orange oil and saffron, the bouquet becomes warmer, dominated by red fruit followed by touches of cassis and fig and sweet notes of gingerbread and liquorice.Starting with a sumptuous trio of roasted fig, apricot and candied orange, the Dom Pérignon Rosé 2006 Champagne opens up to deliver intoxicating notes of rich cocoa and dark spices, resulting in a sensual and seductive champagne. v=1596112823","width":800}],"requires_selling_plan":false,"selling_plan_groups":[],"content":"This is a full-bodied whisky distinctive for its intense smokiness and layers of spice.
