It then turned into an even more nauseating very old lady from the 1950s floral. But once again, not really a bombastic “everyone can smell this”… more like an old lady floral skin scent you really had to look for. This phase was around 10 minutes.

Upon initial spray, a surprisingly natural magnolia emerges. There is a hint of juicy pear, but to my nose syrupy cherry notes provide much of the sweet fruitiness. White florals prevail, with soft and muted jasmine and tuberose appearing after the initial fruity accords. I don't get much vanilla, but there is a slightly rancid muskiness to the base that somehow works, adding a sensual quality. The musk is offset by fresh, aquatic notes along with the aforementioned florals. these terms and conditions in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, do LONGEVITY: In my hair, I could detect it 5-6 hours later, but it is faint. I don't mind reapplying as it is so inexpensive. Now, at 27, Curious smells so tame and delicate, so girlish in its fruitness. The soft skin of a fresh pear. The comforting vanilla. Even the white flowers smell fresh instead of decadent. After 5 hours- the vanilla, musk and woods have really taken over now, the fragrance has changed quite a bit in my opinion, it’s like “your skin but better”, it’s extremely soft, sillage has massively decreased since though, lingers hardly more than the skin.

SCENT: It is exactly as described, a juicy, fruity, floral scent. The juicy sweetness comes from the pear note and the aquatic scent comes from the lotus note. The combination of those top notes with the middle floral notes create a beautiful shower or shampoo scent that's perfect for anybody. My first encounter with Curious was as pre-teen. I was a Britney Spears fan and got so excited when I found out she had her own perfume line. I fell in love with Fantasy and its sparkly pink bottle. I loved the way it smelled. I loved glitter, sparkles, vanilla, candy, bubblegum. Fantasy spoke to this private world where everything was pretty, fluffly and cute.

I just got my bottle (never smelled it before). The first 5 minutes it was a vaguely nauseating alcohol, but difficult to perceive unless you really sniffed around for it. not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising under these terms and This smells like the tail of a Barbie mermaid, a woman’s bossom. It’s feminine in the most atemporal way. I can see a person wearing this in the 1950s as much as in 2004 (when it was released).

Hubby rating: 6/10 ("Generic florally smell. Wait! Soap! There's soap. Floral soap. Or...one of those 'summer breeze' soaps, you know? Anyway, it's kinda generic, but still quite nice.") My sister wears this and it was pretty as it wafted around today in the spring-like air. I say 'spring', because I don't know how it would perform in true heat, as it was really mild today in the Pacific North and not truly summery. I don't know if it's been reformulated, or because I'm older, or due to the different city/climate I'm in - but this is MUCH better than it used to be. Sometimes, we don't appreciate scents that are commonly found and used by many, but we end up missing it when they become out of reach. I always wanted to own this scent, but for some reason I ended up procrastinating. Though this has been a go to scent for many women, it still is a gorgeous scent. Women buy this because it's gorgeous, not because it's common.

After 1 hour- still smells similar, but smells much more clean, like a nice shampoo/body wash, the sillage is nice for the price of the perfume too. As far as Britney Spears perfumes go, Curious is quite mature. Fantasy, much more sweet and fruity and girlish, probably would have been a more suitable scent for little me. But despite being a fairly strong floral, Curious is still sweet enough to suit women of all ages (not that perfume has any age!). If you didn't recognize Curious by the scent alone (and most 90s girls would), you wouldn't be surprised to find this worn by a colleague at work or a teacher in high school. I have an old 10ml bottle of this which I believe only recently started going off after about a decade. However, spoiled or not, this is not the scent for me. It has a cloyingly sweet and artificial smell. It would be unwearable in hot weather because of this, but I wouldn't consider it a cold weather smell either. These issues may have intensified a bit because my bottle is old, but I don't believe the scent has changed too much over time. I find the scent itself to be really young but old-fashioned (it's like the early 2000s/y2k aesthetic in a bottle). The smell makes me think of barbies, toy makeup, and plastic both because of the vibe of the smell and because there's literally a strong artificial/plastic smell to it (not sure what it is). To be fair, it does dry down after 2 or so hours into a much more subtle jasmine-heavy scent on my skin which is ok, but I am not a big fan of prominent jasmine either, and it's not worth the top notes for me (which are all overwhelmingly prominent). Our liability is limited and excluded to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law. We will Curious'' was the first celebrity perfume that I ever bought! It's a beautiful floral but it is not that light. It's a little bit heavyI’ve never been a fan of more fresh and clean scents because I find them quite boring, but this is very calming. To me it’s like coming straight out of the shower, it’s like a nice body wash. the photography may be of a different size of the same product. Please read the product description

It then complete disappeared and I couldn’t smell anything. I thought maybe my bottle is old, because I had never had a perfume be completely gone after 15 minutes. Bitter disappointment… but wait for it… After 20 minutes it reappeared! I wore this perfume during my first real date and consequently my first relationship - you know, the kind of relationship that swept you off your feet, had you staying up all night either on the phone or making out, but it was all a lie and only lasted 2 months and left you with a completely shattered heart of a billion trillion pieces and low self-esteem, and introduced you to your very first therapy sessions for severe broken-heartedness (google it, it's a real thing) and depression? Yeah, THAT kind of relationship, lol. It was a total disaster of a K-drama fosho XD Recently bought this from fragrancenet (which I've been buying from for years and never had a bad or fake bottle of anything). This has to have been reformulated. Smelled awful. More like a cologne version. I don't know how to explain it. Just not feminine, clean, soft, and pretty like it used to be. I owned Fantasy in a bottle, and Curious in a rollerball. I loved sniffing Curious on my wrists alone at home. At the time it smelled so mature and forbidden, something for grown-ups that I was sneaking upon. It was a mischevious little pleasure, a snippet of the future I envisioned for myself as a grown woman. It's promotion was very well done and widely done all throughout the world. And don't even get me started on how amazing she looked in the commercial.Layering it with BBW Magnolia Charm is a game changer. Magnolia Charm on its own I find a little too sweet, and for me, sweet and floral don’t go well together, but it lends warmth and sweetness to Curious which could otherwise come across as crisp and cold. Magnolia as a flower apparently also smells soapy, and when I layer these two together, I smell like I have just taken a shower with a floral soap. It does quite long and is perfect to wear on hot humid days when I want a scent bubble that makes me feel fresh and clean! TIME OF DAY: Day - Again, the clean and light aspect of this fragrance makes it more appropriate for daytime activities. But now, in my 30s this is the holy grail, ultimate gorgeous gorgeous scent. There’s truly nothing else like it. It’s addictive in it’s sweetness without being over the top and cloying. It’s beautiful and sensual. This is such a unique use of vanilla, its creamy but oh so delicate balanced by an aquatic note that makes it fresh and airy. To me this is a Britney, in a luxurious hotel room surrounded by expensive vanilla candles and clean designer bed sheets, but she herself is understated in simple dark jeans and a delicate white lace cami, her blonde hair lays in loose curls with only a swipe of mascara and pink gloss because she’s naturally so pretty. It’s sweet but not juvenile, sophisticated but …curious, its not a girl not yet a woman. I don't get huge vanilla. Musk is perceptible, but just barely. I mostly get some woody notes...which is 100% fine by me.
