Some board games are designed for a maximum number of players and can’t be played with large groups. Some board games are designed to be played by eight to 10 players, and others are open-ended, with no limit to how many people can play. For large groups of kids, look for board games with higher player designations, such as Apples to Apples or Telestrations, or board games that use teams, such as Pictionary Junior. Reveal suspects – the dice have shown three fox eyes. These lead you to two more suspects, but how will you know which foxes are innocent and which might be guilty? There are 16 suspects, finding the thief will take all your powers of deduction. A crafty fox has stolen Mrs Plumpert's prized pie and it’s up to you and three friends to catch the thief before they get away - will you succeed, or will you be Outfoxed!?Close the slider and then end your turn by placing the Clue marker face up on the space where you landed. Once you get good at the base game, step up the challenge by moving the fox pawn 4 spaces instead of 3. And for experts, move it 5 spaces! Outfoxed!, designed and published by the team at Gamewright Games, is a 1-4 player co-operative whodunit aimed at families with younger children.

Including 16 thief/suspect cards, 12 clue tokens, four detective hat pawns, a thief miniature, game board and a unique ‘clue decoder’ - Outfoxed! contains all you need to help find Mrs Plumpert's prized pie. Since this game is geared toward younger audiences, we recommend supervising play time as the tiles are rather small and could be lost or swallowed. This game also received the Oppenheim Gold Best Toy Award for its innovation and design.

When looking for board games that are easy for kids to play, consider your child’s age and personality. Like toys and books, most board games list a recommended age range. To ensure the game will be easy enough for your kid to play, look for board games intended for your child’s age or younger. Also, think about your child’s maturity and temperament. Simple games with only a few rules will be easier to play than complex games with many rules. If you're a Catan fan, you'll be happy to know that this strategy-based game comes in a kid-friendly version. Like the original version, this game requires you to build a settlement to earn points, but the Family Edition makes it a little easier to learn the ins and outs of the game, so kids won't need to sit through lengthy instructions to get to the fun. The game combines traditional board game mechanics with whodunit detective work, having players roll dice, gather clues and, eventually, expose a nefarious pie thief. What Ages Is Outfoxed Intended For? Outfoxed! is a collaborative game that requires players to work together to reveal clues and narrow the suspects to figure out which thieving fox stole Mrs. Plumpert’s prized pot pie. It’s a non-competitive “whodunit” game of deductive reasoning, probability, and attention to detail.
