I've stopped reading after they started getting too fond of each and the unsexiest dirty talk made an appearence once again, so I can't tell you if it got better after this. Not to compare Taylor with Piper from IHOS, but my main issue with that book and Piper was, how amazing her personality and character growth was going up until the 3rd act conflict where Piper reverted back to her old selfish self, meaning all that "growth" just went to waste. It was supposed to be a relaxing vacation in sweet, sunny Cape Cod - just me and my beloved brother - but discovering a corpse in our rental house really throws a wrench into our tanning schedule. Also why, if all he thinks about how he shouldn't fuck her and then he just goes and licks her stomach?

This part of the plot felt like an afterthought and only included to serve as a backdrop to the romance of the story.
