Is it a mistake not including a hammer function in their drill driver? Actually I don’t think so — I will explain… The saw comes with two 115mm blades and it has 43mm cutting depth at 90 degrees and 28mm at a 45 degree angle. It also has a soft grip handle for comfortable use, a dust pipe to collect the dust and it also comes with an edge guide and hex key. I tested the saw over a couple of weeks, in 10, 15 and 25 minutes sessions to see how the battery lasted when used in shorter sessions and how long it could go in one session. Using the supplied blades I cut through fence posts, MDF, plastic pipe, metal pipe and a lot of garden bushes and trees. Initial use of the blade was good, it zipped through all the materials we tested it on, even the metal. However, this took a little longer to get going but once through the initial cutting stage it went through the metal pipe easily.

What makes the E-Series so affordable is they are sold without a battery and charger. You buy that separately and then you can use the battery on every power tool in the range. They are without doubt the most competitively priced cordless range of tools on the market today.
